Definition
Pain and fatigue in the calf muscles and muscles behind the knees.
Symptoms
A tired, aching muscles at the back of legs after a long period of standing.
Biomechanical etiology
Overpronation of subtalar joint causes internal rotation and abnormal traction on the calf muscles. Often hard and flat surfaces we stand and walk on causes overpronation of subtalar joint which in turn puts torsion and pressure on the muscle structure of the lower legs.
Treatment
Orthotics, like Stabilizer Insoles, reduce torsional pressure by controlling overpronation and rotation of tibial.
Exercises
Stretching of calf muscles.
